The students of bachelor and master courses with their professor had the opportunity to see the laboratory and the experimental hall of the laser centre.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2-70.png\" alt=\"CTU students at HiLASE\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Postdoc <strong>Jaroslav Huynh<\/strong> introduced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/en\/we-offer\/laboratory-equipment\/laser-systems\/\"><strong>PERLA<\/strong><\/a> thin disc laser to the group in the clean lab, took them through the laboratory and shared his experience. This laser has also been developed as a commercial product for industry in the form of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/en\/products\/perla-100\/\"><strong>PERLA 100<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Next, the students headed to the LSP (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/produkty\/laser-shock-peening-lsp\/\"><strong>Laser Shock Peening<\/strong><\/a>) experimental hall, where team leader <strong>Jan Kaufman<\/strong> and Ph.D. student <strong>Ond\u0159ej Str\u00e1nsk\u00fd<\/strong> introduced them to their specialization, and showed them examples of LSP applications in industry, and answered their questions. LSP helps extend the life of frequently stressed parts of metal components.
