Here you can read the <a href=\"https:\/\/opg.optica.org\/ol\/fulltext.cfm?uri=ol-47-11-2891&amp;id=476217\">full article<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/1-122.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the paper, the authors report on high-energy, few-cycle pulse generation in the long-wave infrared spectral region via difference-frequency generation (DFG) in GaSe and AgGaSe<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0nonlinear crystals. The DFG is driven by the signal at 3.5\u2009\u00b5m and idler at 5\u2009\u00b5m of a high-power mid-wave infrared optical parametric chirped pulse amplification (OPCPA) system operating at a 1-kHz repetition rate. The DFG pulses contain up to 17\u2009\u00b5J of energy and cover a spectrum from 8.5\u2009\u00b5m to 14.5\u2009\u00b5m. They are generated with a conversion efficiency of 2.1\u2009%.
