Derrien and MSc. Kristyna Gazdova, scientists from the Group of Ultrafast Photonics (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/en\/research-programmes\/scientific-laser-applications\/\">Department of Scientific Laser Applications<\/a> of the HiLASE Centre) attended the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.it4i.cz\/o-it4i\/infoservis\/novinky\/probehlo-setkani-uzivatelu-vypocetnich-systemu-it4innovations\">6th Users&#8217; Conference of IT4Innovations<\/a>\u201d held on Nov 3<sup>rd<\/sup> and 4<sup>th<\/sup>, 2022 in Ostrava (Czech Republic). The conference gathered active users of the IT4Innovation\u2019s supercomputing facilities and enabled direct interactions between researchers in the field of intense numerical modeling in the Czech Republic.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2-141.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At this event, Dr. Derrien presented an oral contribution detailing the results obtained using the time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) with support of computational projects obtained at IT4Innovations. In particular, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.it4i.cz\/o-it4i\/infoservis\/novinky\/probehlo-setkani-uzivatelu-vypocetnich-systemu-it4innovations\">results on the electron excitation of laser-irradiated semiconductors<\/a> were presented along with the recent results obtained in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cuni.cz\/\">Charles University of Prague<\/a> on the prediction of high harmonic spectra in solids (article of Suthar, P.; Troj\u00e1nek, F.; Mal\u00fd, P.; Derrien, T. J.-Y. &amp; Koz\u00e1k, M. Role of Van Hove singularities and effective mass anisotropy in polarization-resolved high harmonic spectroscopy of silicon. <em>Comm.
