He obtained it for his oral presentation of the <strong>Faraday isolator<\/strong> developed at the HiLASE Centre.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/David-Vojna-optica-cena-1.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I am truly grateful for this award, it makes for a wonderful conclusion to my Ph.D. studies,&#8221;<\/em> says David Vojna.<\/p>\n<p>A paper describing the unique <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/en\/faraday-isolator-for-100j-10hz-pulsed-laser\/\">Faraday isolator for a 100J\/10Hz pulsed laser<\/a><\/strong> was published earlier this year in the <a href=\"https:\/\/opg.optica.org\/ol\/fulltext.cfm?uri=ol-48-13-3471&amp;id=532185\">Optics Letters<\/a> journal. Along with David Vojna, a whole team of HiLASE Centre researchers collaborated on the development: Ond\u0159ej Slez\u00e1k, Jan Pila\u0159, Martin Divok\u00fd, Ond\u0159ej Denk, Martin Hanu\u0161, Petr Navr\u00e1til, Martin Smr\u017e, Antonio Lucianetti and Tom\u00e1\u0161 Mocek. It describes the first-ever demonstration of an optical isolation of a a kilowatt average power large aperture high energy pulsed laser \u2013 the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/vysokoenergeticky-nanosekundovy-laser-bivoj\/\">BIVOJ laser system<\/a> situated in the HiLASE Centre laboratories, to be exact.<\/p>\n<p>Optica Laser Congress and Exhibition 2023 is an event, which took place from the 8<sup>th<\/sup> to the 12<sup>th<\/sup> of October 2023 in Tacoma, Washington, US. It aims to provide an overview of the latest developments in the field of solid-state lasers and their innovative applications.
