HiLASE Centre received a new patent for a method and a device for assembly of a nanomaterial structure<\/strong>. The patent number ID US 11801704 B2 was officially awarded by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO<\/a>)<\/strong> on the 31st<\/sup> of October 2023. We congratulate Nathan Goodfriend and Alexander Bulgakov<\/strong> from the Scientific Laser Applications<\/a> department on this success.<\/p>\n

The present invention relates to a method and device capable to form a nanomaterial structure on a receiver by transfer of nanomaterial from a donor film. In some embodiment, the transfer can be provided by laser induced forward transfer, more preferably by blister based laser induced forward transfer. The method further comprises a simultaneous scanning of the donor film or the receiver so that, a computer driven means for moving the receiver and the donor film can form high precision nanomaterial structure. In a preferred embodiment, the simultaneous scanning can be provided by an imaging laser generating high harmonic waves which are detected by a detector. In yet another embodiment, the receiver and\/or donor film can be further scanned by a broadband light source(s).
