The paper, titled &#8220;<strong><em>Effects of sacrificial coating material in laser shock peening of L-PBF printed AlSi10Mg<\/em><\/strong>&#8221; deals with the topics of additive manufacturing and surface engineering.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/Effects-of-sacrificial-coating-material-in-laser-shock-peening-of-L-PBF-printed-AlSi10Mg.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The research team included HiLASIANS <strong>Ond\u0159ej Str\u00e1nsk\u00fd<\/strong> (LSP Ph.D. student), <strong>Sunil Pathak<\/strong> (LSP scientist), <strong>Jan \u0160maus<\/strong> (LSP technologist), <strong>Jan Kaufman<\/strong> (team leader of LSP), <strong>Marek B\u00f6hm<\/strong> (graduate student: engineering support), <strong>Jan Brajer<\/strong> (head of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/en\/blog\/vyzkumne-programy\/industrial-laser-applications\/\">Industrial Laser Applications<\/a>), and <strong>Tom\u00e1\u0161 Mocek<\/strong> (head of HiLASE Centre), alongside Libor Ber\u00e1nek, Franti\u0161ek Hole\u0161ovsk\u00fd (both of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cvut.cz\/\">Czech Technical University in Prague<\/a>) and Jarom\u00edr Kope\u010dek (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fzu.cz\/\">Institute of Physics<\/a>, Czech Academy of Sciences).<\/p>\n<p>They investigated the impact of different materials, including black paint, thermoplastic elastomers, black vinyl tape and uncoated surfaces, in the LSP processing of laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) printed thin AlSi10Mg tubes.
