Among all the anonymized samples tested in the ISO-certified LIDT laboratory at the HiLASE Centre, the sample with a value of <strong>0.16 J\/cm\u00b2<\/strong> performed the best.<\/p>\n<p>We proudly presented the award to a representative of <a href=\"https:\/\/eksmaoptics.com\/\">EKSMA Optics<\/a> on June 5th during the Laser Innovative Technologies workshop of the Czech Optical Cluster. The workshop is organized in collaboration with us and the ELI Beamlines Facility.<\/p>\n<p>Knowing the quality of optical components used in high-power laser systems is essential for the safe and reliable operation of these systems. The LIDT Challenge provides component manufacturers with a unique opportunity to verify the real-world performance of their elements using our cutting-edge PERLA laser system.<\/p>\n<p>Mirror samples with a diameter of 2 inches and a highly reflective coating for a 0\u00b0 angle of incidence were tested using the s-on-1 method according to ISO 21254-2:2011. The testing laser provided femtosecond pulses (1000 fs) at a wavelength of 257 nm in a Gaussian, p-polarized beam with a repetition rate of 1 kHz, a diameter of 0,5 mm in the plane of incidence, and a maximum fluence of 1.5 J\/cm\u00b2. The test was conducted in a standard atmosphere, i.e., at an atmospheric pressure of 101.3 kPa, an air temperature of 22\u00b0C, and a relative humidity of 30%, in a clean laboratory ISO class 6.<\/p>\n<p>At the HiLASE Centre, we provide state-of-the-art testing of material and optical component resistance to laser radiation under controlled conditions in our ISO 9001-certified LIDT laboratory.
