It is titled <strong><em>High power single crystal KTA optical parametric amplifier for efficient 1.4\u20133.5 \u00b5m mid-IR radiation generation<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/papers-august-24-6.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The team of authors includes HiLASIANS Bianka Csanakov\u00e1, Ond\u0159ej Nov\u00e1k (Deputy head of Advanced Laser Development, Team leader of Nonlinear optics), Luk\u00e1\u0161 Ro\u0161kot, Ji\u0159\u00ed Mu\u017e\u00edk (Team leader of Thin disk lasers and Postdoctoral fellow: PERLA C), Martin Smr\u017e (head of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/en\/vyzkumne-programy\/advanced-laser-development-ald\/\">Advanced Laser Development<\/a>), and Tom\u00e1\u0161 Mocek (Head of HiLASE Centre). They were joined by Helena Jel\u00ednkov\u00e1 from Czech Technical University in Prague.<\/p>\n<p><em>In this paper, we present a single crystal, KTA (potassium titanyl-arsenate, KTiOAsO<sub>4<\/sub>) based picosecond optical parametric amplifier pumped by an in-house built 1030 nm Yb:YAG thin-disk laser, capable of tunability from 1.46 to 3.5\u00a0\u00b5m, operating at 90 kHz, with high average power in the signal and idler beams. The highest output power of 8.9 W was reached for the 1750 nm signal beam with 19% conversion efficiency and the respective 2500 nm idler beam power was 6.2 W with 13% efficiency.
