The HiLASE Centre has played a key role in extending component life by using <strong>Laser Shock Peening<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/en\/produkty\/laser-shock-peening-lsp\/\">LSP<\/a>) technology to increase resistance to cyclic mechanical and thermal stresses.<\/p>\n<p>Jan Kaufman presented the HiLASE Centre with its vision and mission, the LSP technology as such, and a case study of its use to extend the life of a casting mould. &#8220;The original casting mold, without 3D printing, lasted some 4,500 cycles before it had to be replaced. With the SIGAAN coating, it then lasted 12,000 cycles, which is a very nice result, purely coating-wise,&#8221; comments Jan Kaufman. &#8220;And then when we combined that together, with the 3D printing mould, we achieved such a beautiful result that we got a total of 38,000 cycles out of the original 4,500.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmspektrum.com\/projekty\/technologicka-expozice\">Listen to other talks from the technology exhibition (in Czech).<\/a><\/p>\n","oddelovace":"none"}]},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.9 -
