The researchers have successfully demonstrated third-harmonic generation (THG) at an unprecedented energy level of 50 J per pulse at a repetition rate of 10 times per second.<\/p>\n<p>This advance in generation of high-energy ultraviolet laser pulses could have an impact in multiple industries. In the semiconductor industry, they are crucial for processes such as silicon annealing.
