Reporter Marek Ko\u010dovsk\u00fd describes how HiLASE Centre lasers help in biomedicine: by creating microstructured surfaces, which prevent the formation of dangerous biofilms.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hilase.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/Kde-vedci-kouzli-s-lasery-1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That is possible thanks to the <strong>PERLA laser system<\/strong> developed at HiLASE. Thanks to its record-breaking parameters and speed, it can create microstructured surfaces with special properties faster, more effectively and cheaper than any other laser system in the world.<\/p>\n<p>The use of lasers in biomedicine, specifically for the prevention of biofilm formation, is one of the main focuses of the <strong>LasApp project<\/strong> (Breakthrough Laser Technologies for Smart Manufacturing, Space and Bio-Tech Applications). It focuses on advancing existing state-of-the-art laser technologies.
