HPLS&A 2022: The XXIII International Symposium on High-Power Laser Systems and Applications
The twenty-third edition of the International Symposium on High-Power Laser Systems and Applications, which had been held in many different cities across the world since 1976, returns to Prague this June. Co-organised by the HiLASE Centre, this year's event will be another opportunity to bring together scientists, engineers and end-users in the field of high-power lasers.
The week-long symposium will include talks, posters and brainstorming discussions on laser technologies - from the basics to brand new innovative solutions. The twenty-one speakers at the symposium will include:

- Thomas Harrer (TRUMPF Laser- und Systemtechnik, Germany)
- Paul Mason (Central Laser Facility, UK)
- Daniele Margarone (Queen’s University Belfast, UK & ELI Beamlines, Czech Republic)

This year's event will be focused on the following topics:

- Laser-plasma interactions
- Ultra-high intensity lasers
- High-power solid-state lasers
- Fiber lasers and beam combining
- Chemical and excimer lasers
- Raman and Brillouin lasers
- Laser applications/macro and micro processing including 3D printing in metals
- Space applications, LIDAR
- Novel concepts and modelling
- Laser beam control
