New certified Laser Safety Officers successfully trained at HiLASE Laser Traning Centre

From April 22 to 24, 2026, the Laser Training Centre hosted a Laser Safety Officer (LSO) training, designed for professionals working with lasers, occupational health and safety specialists, and managers responsible for laser safety.

During the intensive 2.5-day program, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of laser safety - from legislative requirements and laser classification to practical technical and administrative measures. The training also included calculations, selection of appropriate protective equipment, and work with real-life scenarios from practice.

A key part of the program was hands-on training in the laboratory - Edulab, where participants practiced safe working procedures, laser system setup, and interlock principles in real conditions. The program also included a guided tour of the laser laboratories.

The training concluded with a knowledge assessment test. All participants successfully met the requirements and received a certificate of completion, valid for 5 years.

The training received very positive feedback and once again confirmed the strong demand for high-quality, practice-oriented education in the field of laser safety.
