Use of 3D Printing in the Development of Laser and Support Systems

On Tuesday the 26th of March, a workshop titled New Trends: Additive Technologies and Their Use in Optics and Mechatronics will take place at the Prague Technology Centre. Among other things, you can look forward to a talk delivered by HiLASIAN Jan Heřmánek, design team leader, on the topic of Use of 3D Printing in the Development of Laser and Support Systems.

When: Tuesday 26th of March 2024, 9am – 4:30pm

Where: Prague Technology Centre

How are the development of high-tech lasers and 3D printing related? The answer is very, and sometimes in cases you would not expect.

In the presentation, you will learn how we started with 3D printing technology at the HiLASE Centre more than ten years ago, where we are now and where we are headed. We will also use some case studies to explain what we use 3D printing for. For example, it can be applied to issues concerning some safety risks, time-, money- and effort-saving, or help in presenting even normally inaccessible laser systems.
