- principle of laser operation and basic classification
- physical nature of laser radiation
- key concepts – active medium, pumping, population inversion, emission
- basic laser parameters – wavelength, power, energy, pulsed and continuous operation
- laser beam propagation and basic optical phenomena
- main components of laser systems
- overview of laser types and their practical applications
- demonstration of laser systems in a laboratory environment
