The HiLASE Centre is pleased to announce that the FZU – Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences which the HiLASE Centre is a part of, has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with the Lockheed Martin Corporation.
The MoU is focused on the potential cooperation in research and development (R&D) and manufacturing projects utilizing FZU-HiLASE capabilities in the areas of precision directed energy, including laser ablation, micromachining, laser shock peening as well as other innovative laser technologies and might be also involved in the F-35 aircraft program. The main goals are to help secure national and global peace as well as to strengthen economic growth and international partnerships in the R&D field.
Michael Prouza, the director of FZU – Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, signed the MoU on Thursday 25th of May 2023 in the presence of the head of the HiLASE Centre, Tomáš Mocek, during the IDET – International Defence and Security Technologies Fair held in Brno.
