On 4th – 5th March, 2015, the workshop “HEPTech Academia Meets Industry on Industrial Applications of High Energy Lasers” organized by HEPTech and the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences Czech Republic, was held at HiLASE Center. The meeting was organized to introduce the new HiLASE facility and explore Industrial Applications of High Energy Lasers, introducing R&D activities in the field to the research community, as well as make engineers and industrial representatives aware of the possibility of using these laser systems for their own purposes. The presentations were given by world experts on Laser Induced Damage Treshold and on Laser Shock Peening. This event also sucessfully brought together Academia and Industry to share ideas, potential applications and fostering collaborations in the field of High Energy Laser Systems.
