The 2nd Annual HiLASE workshop will be held on September 24-26, 2017 at Chateau Stirin, Central Bohemia, Czech Republic. HiLASE is a brand new Laser Center that focuses on laser development and hi-tech applications of laser technology. Under one roof we develop in-house “next generation” of pulsed Diode Pumped Solid State Lasers, as well as sophisticated industrial application stations for Laser Shock Peening, Laser Induced Damage Threshold testing and Laser Micro-Machining. One of our most important achievements since the last workshop has been to demonstrate, together with our strategic partner – the Central Laser Facility of STFC in UK, the world record-breaking superlaser “Bivoj”, delivering 1 kW of average power.
The workshop will highlight recent results in the development of high power lasers at HiLASE, and describe the scientific & industrial opportunities. The event will be a forum for the discussion of joint results and technological bottlenecks as well as preparation of new projects. The 2nd annual workshop will include oral sessions, panel discussion sessions, networking, and laboratory tour.
