On Friday the 24th of November, the HiLASE Centre welcomed the United Kingdom ambassador to the Czech Republic, Matt Field, alongside member of parliament and Dolní Břežany citizen, Barbora Urbanová. This was part of their visit to the Dolní Břežany municipality and it was a pleasure for us to be included.
Head of the HiLASE Centre, Tomáš Mocek, met with the ambassador and member of parliament in the lobby and introduced the main areas of research and strategic direction of the Centre, with a focus on collaboration between the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. A visit to the Laser Shock Peening (LSP) experimental hall followed, led by the leader of the corresponding team, Jan Kaufman.
