HiLASE Centre visited by NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s Science and Technology Committee

On Thursday the 14th of March, HiLASE Centre was visited by a group of representatives of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s Science and Technology Committee. Among the countries represented were Turkey, Greece, Hungary, Czech Republic, France, Luxembourg and Belgium.

The group was welcomed in the lobby by Tomáš Mocek, who introduced the main activities and strategic direction of our research. Afterwards, the committee visited not only the experimental halls for Laser Shock Peening (introduced by Jan Kaufman and Jan Šmaus) and Laser Micromachining (with its team leader Petr Hauschwitz) but also the clean laboratories of the Centre. Within them, the BIVOJ and PERLA laser systems were shown by Martin Smrž, Jiří Mužík and Jan Vanda.

Thank you to the committee members for their visit and we look forward to any further collaboration!
