The HiLASE Centre is focused on the technological development of a new generation of diode-pumped lasers with a wide range of applications for scientific and industrial applications. What’s going to fill your calendar:

  • Preparation, bonding and processing of samples for adhesion testing
  • Perform specified tests and record results
  • Data analysis and preparation of reports for further evaluation
  • Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
  • Collaborating with teammates and experts on innovation projects and process improvements
  • Compliance with safety and quality standards at work

Your skills and technical capabilities are:

  • Knowledge of laboratory tests (tensile tests, shear strength tests, fatigue tests) and sample preparation
  • Knowledge of working with profilometers for measuring surface roughness and topography
  • Experience with bonding and surface preparation methods to optimize adhesion between materials
  • Ability to work with relevant test and measurement equipment
  • Experience with microscopic analysis
  • Active communication skills in AJ
  • Diligence and accuracy in record keeping and data analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and report results
  • Ability to design and implement new test methodologies or modify existing procedures to improve results or efficiency
  • Flexibility and ability to learn new techniques and processes quickly

You will receive extra points for these experiences:

  • Practice in laboratory work, especially in materials testing and data analysis
  • Experience in handling samples for specific tests
  • Previous work in multidisciplinary teams and collaboration on research projects
