At the end of January 2015, Antonio Lucianetti, Danijela Rostohar and Jan Vanda performed LIDT (Laser Induced Damage Threshold) measurements of critical optical components for HiLASE project at Vilnius University. The Laser Research Center at Vilnius University is headed by Prof. Valdas Sirutkaitis and has a team of scientists with more than 10 years of experience in the field of LIDT. The excellent infrastructure at Vilnius University has enriched HiLASE scientific knowledge in this field. The researchers also took this opportunity to visit largest Lithuanian laser companies, including Ekspla, Eksma, Light Conversion, Elas, Standa, and Altechna.
