Prof. Orazio Svelto at HiLASE

To commemorate work and personality of prominent Czech scientist Vladimír Dvořák (Solid state physicist – theory of ferroelectricity and structural phase transitions, director of IoP in 1993-2001), the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic organizes an annual festive Dvořák lecture given by prominent internationally renowned scientists in the field related to the research pursued at the Institute of Physics. The 6th Dvořák Lecture called “The LASER: a Historical Perspective” was given by Professor Orazio Svelto and it was very interesting and successful. During his visit, Professor Svelto also went to see the brand new HiLASE building and its laboratories.
